偶然間在網路上聽到這首 黃慧音 小姐唱誦的巴利文「慈經」
真的好喜歡，於是在網路上查到經文內容（巴利文、英文、中文對照）
關於慈經：慈經的由來和其他 （靈源寺是真嚴師姐整理）
慈經 (metta sutra)，是南傳佛教中非常著名的經典。傳說佛在世時，有群比丘來在雨季安居之前，前往森林練習禪修。但森林裡的精靈和樹神們為此深感困擾，無法像過去自在地居住在樹上，所以祂們就以種種幻相、音聲與氣味來恫嚇這群比丘。為此，佛陀使教導比丘們無限愛心的修習法──慈心(Metta)，以及慈心觀的方法，讓比丘們能夠返回森林與樹神們和平相處，安心並順利地禪修了。
Metta是巴利文，中文為「慈」──願眾生好的意思，唱頌慈經能向眾生散發慈心，也可體驗平靜和喜悅的心境。
